Just to look at them on the outside you can see their classic look and their timeless style… and when you see them together, you can see their love is just the same. Like something out of an old movie. Sophisticated. Honest. True. As we spent time photographing the day they would become husband and wife, we noticed more and more this same thread weave it’s way through every moment, every detail, and every promise made. From her vintage red lips to the art deco venue, it was reflection of the past to celebrate their next big step into their futures.

Even though she was in the makeup chair, she couldn’t hold back tears of excitement…

The cap sleeves on her gorgeous gown were the perfect touch…

The tropical Monstera leaf was a key design element which created a fantastic backdrop for details as well as a jaw dropping vintage feel for the reception….

Her mom was beaming in the background…

…and Dad couldn’t have been more proud…

Thankfully, I turned around RIGHT before the bride and groom’s first look to capture her mom and dad’s reaction to the moment that was about to happen. I just love this….

They exchanged hand written letters before seeing each other. What an incredible moment and keepsake.

They don’t look real. If I hadn’t been there I wouldn’t have believed these guys weren’t part of a styled shoot!

Such a beautiful bride. Love your style, Kelsey! // Pro-opinion: If you want your dress to be the feature of your wedding day wardrobe (or if you have a beaded neckline or belt), skip the necklace and spend time choosing a fabulous pair of earrings!

The variety of dresses with a serious pop of floral color fit the bridesmaids bubbly personalities to a T!

One of my favorite things to photograph? Grandparents (patiently) waiting for the ceremony to begin…

They were both beaming all the way down the aisle.

And they had the sweetest facial expressions throughout the entire ceremony!

The joining of hands to bless the happy couple.

Vintage. Classy. Timeless! It makes me feel like Ricky Ricardo and Lucy are getting ready to celebrate here! If you are 30 or younger, or unless you are an old soul, you may not catch that reference but it totally makes sense to me….

A perfect reflection of the art deco theme.

With a new white suit coat and a fresh pair or red lips, it time to celebrate!

These are ALL Kelsey’s sisters and they made an adorable toast quartet!

They laughed the entire way through! What a fantastic way to make sure no one EVER forgets your speech!

Kelsey + Eric had a room FULL of guests who were having a ball in our Live Click Photobooth! I couln’t help but run over and grab a few behind the scenes while our team was busy grabbing all the shots for the filmstrips! It was so FUN to watch the bride and groom with their family and friends.

If anyone tells you reception lighting doesn’t matter, refer them to this photo please… LOVE!

Congratulations to the two classiest love birds around. Thank you for including our photo and photobooth teams along to document every last moment of this day. We are honored.

When you bring together two people who are madly in love, all their favorite people AND over 1,000 peonies in one space, it makes for a pretty perfect day. Hilary + Eric’s wedding day was recently featured on Brides.com and we are thrilled! From the Vera Wang dress to the flower petal exit, every detail was just stunning.

Every beautiful detail and moment was captured by Ted and our talented second shooter, Sam.Hilary’s happy energy was evident right from the start!Oh goodness, hellloooo Vera Wang lace embellished train….. LOVE!Eric + his men were looking dapper in their time-honored black and white tuxes! The pale green J. Crew gowns the ladies were sporting were on point with the soft, classic feel of the wedding.grosser_wed_0272I love Eric’s subtle but sweet reactions the during the ceremony….

Married! If my mom would have allowed me to play with Barbies when I was a kid, I imagine this would have been the perfect Barbie and Ken wedding scene set up! 🙂I love having a second during cocktail hour to grab shots in the yummy twinkle light of sunset. Hilary + Eric decided not to see each other before the ceremony so we took all of their portraits together during this time. One big benefit of doing it this way is that you are officially married and there’s just a new, fresh excitement for each other and for life that wasn’t necessarily there before. You can totally see it in their eyes….Their reception was just gorgeous with the color combination of muted green, ivory, peach, and pink… perfect! In all my years of photographing weddings there is one thing I always say to those wanting a fantastic party…. you MUST be on the dance floor or your guests will not. Hilary + Eric owned the dance floor and the photos are just a small testament to the memories they and their guests will have forever of their incredible day!A pedal send off!

grosser_wed_0854I ADORE this photo of the parents right as the car was pulling away… Such a bitter sweet moment of a marker in time.

A huge thank you to Hilary + Eric for choosing Kortnee Kate Photography to document your GORGEOUS day and thank you to Brides for featuring their day!! What a huge honor!

When Holly moved to St. Louis for her first job out of college, she had no idea her new roommate was one degree of separation from the man she would spend the rest of her life with. After bumping into Curtis during a chance invite to his brothers graduation party, neither of them could have anticipated the journey they would go on together, for life.

It was such an easy and lighthearted way to begin the day that felt so representative of what it feels like when the bride and groom are together . . . easy to love and light at heart.

Moments with mom . . .. . . and a letter from her future husband.

I love that Holly’s dad was hanging with the guys before coming to see his daughter as a bride. . .How gorgeous is Curtis’s mom? Love this moment! What a gorgeous bride . . .One of our favorite Dad and daughter moments! It’s not difficult to figure out where Holly gets her joyful spirit . . .Helllloooooo, stunner. Let’s go get married!Celebrity Bridesmaid DressesNo only was their reception location just stunning but it was WARM. I think Holly was pretty happy about that after being such a trooper for portraits in the cold!Such a stunning space set for a serious celebration!Dad’s toast to his daughter and the reactions that came along with it. . . priceless!

Congrats you two! We were just thrilled to have been a small part of such an unforgettable day in your lives!
